U.S. Department of Energy, National Renewable Energy Lab is the DOE’s premier laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development. Good introductory and technical information, and their PIX database on their Data and Documents page is an excellent place to find digital images.

National Energy Education Development Project – www.need.org

Lots of fact sheets, curriculum, and activities available as pdf files. They host teacher and student workshops and the National Energy Conference for Educators.

They have a variety of resources available for teachers, mostly other energy sources, but some renewables and conservation: posters, videos, fact sheets, activity guides, etc. Workshops and graduate courses are also available.

Northeast Sustainable Energy Association – www.nesea.org

Their teacher resources are mostly concerned with sustainable transportation. They host the Junior Solar Sprint, a model solar car competition for middle school students; provide teacher training and workshops; and have some activities and curriculum available to download.
